Tucker Milling needed to scale feed bagging to keep pace with growing demand — without sacrificing accuracy, uptime, or the flexibility to run many product types on the same line.
Mikewill designed a bagging and palletizing system integrating ABB robotics, Allen-Bradley controls, and servo-driven motion. We didn't stop at delivery: we upgraded older equipment with servo control for smoother, more efficient operation and later integrated an ABB pallet storage-and-retrieval system.
How it came together
Tucker Milling, a leading feed producer, set out to modernize its bagging operation to meet growing demand across the agricultural market. They needed a partner who could turn a vision for a faster, more reliable line into a working system.
Mikewill worked hand-in-hand with the Tucker team to design a system that fit their existing plant — from precise weighing through automated bagging and robotic palletizing — so the upgrade integrated with what they already ran instead of forcing a rebuild.
Because both the controls and the electrical work were handled in-house, one accountable team wired, programmed, and commissioned the line. Over time we 'servoed up' older equipment to run more efficiently and added an ABB pallet storage-and-retrieval system.
Today Mikewill keeps dedicated staff on site nearly every day, so support is measured in minutes, not tickets — a big reason the partnership has held for years.
